Coty Poynter

Coty Poynter is a writer from Baltimore, Maryland. His work has been published in Black Fox Literary Magazine, Equinox, Grub Street, and various other outlets. His second poetry collection, Delirium: Poems, was published in October 2018 by Bowen Press. He was the creative nonfiction editor at Mud Season Review, an international literary journal run by members of the Burlington Writers Workshop, a free writing workshop based in Vermont. He is a contributor for Write or Die Tribe, a digital space for writers seeking creative and literary connections, where he writes essays on craft and does the occasional interview. He graduated from Towson University with a Master's degree in Professional Writing, where he studied under Michael Downs, Leslie Harison, and Jeannie Vanasco. He lives in Virginia Beach, VA, with his wife, Carly, their cat, Pudge, their dog, Tycho, and a hodgepodge of plants.
