Author's Bio

Celia Bland’s third collection of poetry, Cherokee Road Kill (Dr. Cicero), with pen and ink drawings by Kyoko Miyabe, was published in 2018.  Recent or upcoming publications include Plume, Witness, Southern Humanities Review, Copper Nickel, Yale Letters, and the anthology Native Voices: Indigenous American Poets (Tupelo Press 2019). With Martha Collins, she co-edited Jane Cooper: A Radiance of Attention (U. of Michigan Press, 2019).  Her second book, Madonna Comix (William James) was an collaboration with artist Diane Kornberg, with an introduction by Lucy (Luc) Sante (2014).  She has been a fellow at the Elizabeth Bishop House, Great Village, Nova Scotia; the Edward Albee Foundation, Montauk, NY; and Blue Mountain Center, Adirondacks, NY.
