Author's Bio

Before becoming a fiction writer, I worked as a broadcast journalist for CBC Radio, Canada's public network. My fiction, essays, poetry and reviews have been published widely in Canada's major journals and newspapers. I live in Toronto where my partner and I enjoy birding and the outdoors in our beautiful lakeside city.  As a dual citizen of Canada and the U.S., I enjoy crossing borders both in travel and in writing. My new novel (and tenth book) The Tender Birds will be published in September 2019.
