Author's Bio

Ana Elsner is an independent multicultural poet and author with a global perspective. She lived in several countries, studied in Europe and at Georgetown University, and holds a MA in Linguistics. Elsner is engaged in writing wide-ranging poetry and prose, both in English and in German. "To create true poetry requires hunger and passion, and Ana Elsner has it, in spades," Lawrence Ferlinghetti. - Ana supports a variety of humanitarian causes as advisor and volunteer, and is dedicated to mentoring young poets. She is a frequent featured speaker at libraries, seminars and other educational venues, and periodically conducts poetry workshops. - Poems by Ana Elsner are published internationally in literary journals, reviews, magazines and anthologies in seven countries in the original text and in various translations. - Among the foreign-press publications that have featured Ana Elsner's poetry are: Contemporan Literar Orizont - Revistă de cultură şi spiritualitate contemporană, Bucureşti, Romania; Der Dreischneuß - Zeitschrift für Literatur, Marien Blatt Verlag, Lübeck, Germany; Αρχαι / Arkhai - Revue trans- et inter-disciplinaire, Lausanne, Switzerland; Private - International Review of Poetry and Photography, Castel Bolognese, Italy.
