The program is a sequential MA/MFA program where students first complete the studio/mentor MA and produce a full-length manuscript.
The program offers the MA in screenwriting, playwriting, fiction, nonfiction, poetry, documentary film, and publishing. The faculty in playwriting includes Bonnie Culver, Jean Klein, Jan Quackenbush, Gregory Fletcher, Juanita Rockwell, and Robert Arthur. The faculty in screenwriting includes Richard Uhlig, Ross Klavan, Ken Vose, Robert May, Michael Mailer, and Susan Cartsonis.
All manuscripts are read and reviewed by an outside reader who is an agent, publisher, producer, or editor. All students also gives a public reading of their manuscript.
