Funding/Employment Opportunities: 

The program offers full funding. Nearly all students receive teaching assistantships, which includes a full tuition waiver and annual stipend. Graduate fellowships and annual fellowships, including several Walton Fellowships of $13,000 and several Lily Peter Fellowships of $1,000 or greater, are also available.

Other Features: 

The program also offers degrees in translation, and hosts the Distinguished Readers Series and a visiting writers series, through which students have the opportunity to work with guest writers each semester. Other features include opportunities to teach in the community through the Writers in the Schools program, and to read at local events and festivals.
