The 2026 Texas Book Festival will be held on November 14 and November 15 around the Texas State Capitol in downtown Austin. The festival features panels, discussions, and book signings with more than 250 authors and hosts nearly 100 exhibiting vendors from magazines, presses, and other literary organizations. Participating writers include poets Carolyn Forché, Maggie Smith, Patricia Smith, and Phillip B. Williams; fiction writers Hernan Diaz, Dave Eggers, Xochitl Gonzalez, Rachel Khong, Karan Mahajan, and Colson Whitehead; and nonfiction writers Patrick Radden Keefe, Robert Kolker, Eugene Robinson, Heather Ann Thompson, and Lawrence Wright. Most of the festival’s events are free and open to the public; the cost of tickets for select events ranges from $40 to $50. Visit the website for more information.
