Stanley B. Trice

Author's Bio

Almost two dozen magazines have published my short stories and I am a member of the North Carolina Writers' Network and a local critique group. Along the way, I wrote dozens of book reviews for a newspaper and for several years conducted interviews with editors for an online magazine. I also became an expert at writing unpublishable books. However, I messed up and completed two publishable, edited novels. One is science fiction where a lonely, unemployed chemist has too much time on his hands. The other is short stories, some previously published, about life on a commuter train. I am currently searching for representation and may soon rely on my inexperience at self publishing. I grew up on a dairy farm in Spotsylvania, VA and ended up living across the river in Stafford, VA. For years, I commuted by train to the Pentagon and managed defense budgets until I had enough of the long commute and DC politics. I moved with my wife to New Bern, NC, a place I had never been to before.
