Author's Bio

In addition to being a grades 7-12 educator, Scot Slaby is a poet who earned his M.A. in Writing (Poetry) from The Johns Hopkins University. Slaby's first chapbook, The Cards We've Drawn, won the 2013 Bright Hill Press At Hand Chapbook Award and was published by Bright Hill Press. His second chapbook, Bugs Us All, a light verse collaboration with artist Walter Gurbo was published by Entasis Press on Aug. 1, 2016. Slaby's poems have also appeared in a number of journals in the U.S.
