The 2015 San Miguel Writers’ Conference and Literary Festival was held from February 11 to February 15 at the Hotel Real de Minas in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. The bilingual (English and Spanish) conference featured workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, and classes in publishing. The faculty included poet Richard Blanco; fiction writers Tracy Chevalier, Ángeles Mastretta, Scott Turow, Jane Urquhart, and Alice Walker; and nonfiction writer Gloria Steinem. The basic registration fee was $595, which included seven workshops and some meals. For an additional fee, participants registered for agent pitch-sessions, one-on-one consultations, and additional workshops.
