The program offers funding to all admitted full-time students at the in-state rate, as well as through teaching assistantships, part-time lectureships, and part-time positions in the Writing Center.

Other Features: 

The program hosts a visiting writers series, the Writers at Newark Reading Series, and the Chancellor's MFA Mentors Program with local Newark high schools. Other features include concentrations in cultural, political, and ethnic studies; literature and book arts; and performance and media studies.
