The program offers full funding. The program offers full tuition remission for all admitted students and living stipends. The program offers students support in the form of teaching assistantships and interdisciplinary fellowships, in which candidates interested in another area of study work with a faculty member in that field. These forms of support carry a stipend of up to $26,000.
This program incorporates a multi-genre approach, encouraging students to take courses in more than one genre. The program also features Writers in Camden, an NEA-supported reading series; the Writers House, a center for interdisciplinary writing programming; and opportunities to volunteer with youth in Camden.
