The program offers a writer-in-residence program, which brings writers to campus to work one-on-one with students;a literary professionalization series , which allows students to interact with editors, agents, and booksellers; a student reading series; and opportunities to take non-creative writing courses, assist in the administration of the annual Old Dominion University Literary Festival, serve on the editorial staff of Barely South Review, and present at the English department’s spring conference.
