The 2025 North Carolina Writers’ Network (NCWN) Squire Summer Writing Workshops was held from July 24 to July 27 at Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina. The conference featured workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as panels, readings, and open mics. The faculty included poet Junious Ward, fiction writer Bryn Chancellor, and nonfiction writer Maddie Norris. The cost of the conference was $799 ($699 for NCWN members), which included tuition, group meals, and single-room on-campus housing; the cost for commuters was $599 ($449 for NCWN members). A limited number of scholarships were available; writers submitted a curriculum vitae and statement of intent. Accessibility accommodations included elevators in all multilevel event spaces; accessible sidewalks, pathways, and doorways; accessible parking spaces; ASL interpretation and assistive listening devices (with advance request); and signage in Braille.
