The 2021 Minnesota Northwoods Writers Conference was held online from June 21 to June 26. The conference featured workshops, craft talks, panels, an evening reading series, and manuscript consultations for poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers. The faculty included poets Jennifer Elise Foerster and John Murillo, fiction writer Danielle Evans, and creative nonfiction writers Faith Adiele and J. Drew Lanham. The 2021 Distinguished Visiting Writer was poet Nikky Finney. The cost of the conference, which included a five-day workshop, was $500 through April 1 and $575 thereafter. Half-hour manuscript consultations were available for an additional $60. An auditor option, which included all conference events except a workshop, was available for $100. Workshops were limited to 12 participants; registration was first come, first served. Using only the online application system, writers submit 5 to 10 pages of poetry or 10 to 20 pages of prose by May 1. There was no application fee. Visit the website for complete guidelines.
