The 2026 Mendocino Coast Writers’ Conference was held from July 30 to August 1 on the Mendocino Coast in California. The conference features workshops for poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers, as well as craft seminars, panels, one-on-one manuscript consultations, and open mics. The faculty includes poet Michael “MJ” Jones; fiction writers Syr Hayati Beker, Susanna Kwan, Lisa Lee, Tara Sim, and Laura Warrell; and nonfiction writers Roberto Lovato and Lauren Markham. Participating publishing professionals include editor Dan López (Counterpoint Press) and agent Anna Ghosh (Ghosh Literary). Fiction writer Jeanne Thornton will deliver the keynote address and lead the master class. The registration fee is $875 and includes breakfast and lunch each day, and dinner on Thursday and Saturday. One-on-one manuscript consultations are available for an additional $60. Lodging is available at a wide range of accommodations on the Mendocino Coast, including oceanfront inns, campgrounds, glamping facilities, and motels. The registration deadline was June 30.
