The 2019 Lit Camp was held from May 12 to May 17 at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California. The conference featured workshops, panels, and yoga for fiction writers and creative nonfiction writers. The faculty included fiction writers Alexander Chee, Jonathan Lethem, and Dana Spiotta, agent Brettne Bloom (The Book Group) and editor Ethan Nosowsky (Graywolf Press). The cost of the conference, including lodging and meals, ranged from $795 to $2,295, depending on lodging. Registration was limited to 40 participants. Using the online submission system, writers submitted a writing sample of up to 4,000 words of fiction or creative nonfiction with a $27 application fee by January 31.
