The 2018 Kentucky Book Festival, presented by Kentucky Humanities, was held from November 12 to November 17 at the Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. The festival, which promoted literacy and a love of reading in the commonwealth, featured panel discussions, readings, and book signings by more than 140 recently published authors. Participating authors included poets George Ella Lyon and Maureen Morehead; fiction writers Rita Mae Brown, Robert Gipe, Silas House, Bobbie Ann Mason, and Hannah Pittard; and fiction and nonfiction writer Elaine Neil Orr.
