The 2018 Kachemak Bay Writers' Conference was held from June 8 to June 12 at the Land's End Resort in Homer, Alaska. The conference featured workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as manuscript reviews, panels, consultations with agents and editors, readings, and open mics. The faculty included poets Rick Barot, Erin Coughlin Hollowell, and Peggy Shumaker; fiction writers Jean Anderson and Bryan Allen Fierro; and creative nonfiction writers Richard Chiappone, Ernestine Hayes, Barbara Hurd, and Floyd Skloot. Fiction writer Anthony Doerr delivered the keynote. The cost of the conference was $395 before May 1, $425 until June 7, and $450 on site, space permitting. An optional post-conference workshop, held from June 12 to June 14, was available for an additional $400, which included tuition, shared lodging, and meals.
