Author's Bio

In little more than two years of writing for publication, I have had two collections of short stories published by CPCC Press, a college affiliated publisher in Charlotte, N.C. Two of the stories from the first collection, Half-Past Nowhere(2008), were selected as finalists by Glimmer Train, one of the countries most prestigious venues for the short story.Another was awarded finalist status, by the equally prestigious Tom Howard/John Reid international short story competition The newest collection, Love Songs in Minor Keys(2009),comes with cover notes from former Pulitzer nominee Dr. Anthony Abbott, and 2009 nominee for the Poe Award for a best book of literary criticism, Dr. David Geherin. Perhaps unique among writer's, I often begin my many book signings with jazz piano improvisation, in order to illustrate a wonderful fact about the Arts;in each case t you never know where you are going until you get there.
