The Hambidge Creative Residency Program offers residencies of two to six weeks from mid-February to mid-December to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers on 600 forested acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains of northern Georgia. Residents are provided with a private cottage that features a kitchen, a bathroom, and studio space. The cost of the residency is $250 per week, which includes meals. Limited financial aid of up to $500 and several Distinguished Fellowships that cover a two-week residency and offer a $700 stipend are available. To apply for residencies from mid-February 2026 to May 2026, submit six to eight poems totaling no more than 15 pages or a prose sample of 12 to 15 pages (include a synopsis for excerpts of a longer work), a résumé, a 300-word biography, and a residency proposal with a $30 application fee by September 15. Visit the website for complete guidelines.
