Other Features: 

This program has a focus on writing and publishing, with an emphasis on one-on-one mentorship. It features electives that include Writing as Process and Discovery, The Book Proposal, Nonfiction Craft: Structure, and Revision as a Way Forward (And a Way of Life), all of which are taught by writing and publishing professionals. In 2025, the program introduced a redesign to make its curriculum more flexible and individualized.

Students attend two weeklong residencies, in July at the Goucher College campus in Baltimore, and in January in New York City.

The application deadline for summer is June 26, and for fall the deadline is July 24.
