Author's Bio

Trained as a scientist, I now write full time. My science fiction novels include The Postman, Earth, Startide Rising, Kiln People, Heaven's Reach, and Existence. My books have been translated into more than twenty languages. I speak widely about issues such as transparency and privacy, as well as space exploration and the future. I've appeared on television shows such as Life After People, Nova, and The Universe.
