YALE WRITERS’ CONFERENCE. The Yale Writers’ Conference brings together seasoned faculty, authors, editors, agents, and publishers in a series of panels, master classes, workshops, and readings for the benefit of experienced and aspiring writers the world over. Yale offers 2 sessions on our historic campus from June 3 to June 18. Session I is a 10-day immersion program in fiction and nonfiction, featuring visiting writers Lily King, Alexander Chee, Chris Bohjalian, Ana Castillo, and Caryl Phillips, plus editors, agents, and publishing professionals. Workshops are limited to 10. Session II offers a 4-day, multi-genre program featuring visiting writer Francine Prose. Writers pick from over 20 different genre workshops, including memoir, comics, horror, poetry, and screenwriting. Workshops are limited to twelve. Tuition is $3,300 for Session I, and $1,450 for Session II, which includes lodging and most meals. Select scholarships are available. Submit up to 1,300 words with a $40 application fee.
