The 2018 Catamaran Writing Conference was held from August 5 to August 9 at the Robert Louis Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, California. The conference featured workshops, craft talks, and daily excursions for poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers. The faculty included poet Joseph Millar, fiction writers Elizabeth McKenzie and Joan Rose Staffen, and creative nonfiction writer Pam Houston. The cost of the conference, which included tuition, shared lodging on campus, and most meals, was $1,350; commuter tuition, which included most meals, was $950.Writers submitted five poems totaling no more than 10 pages, or up to 10 pages of prose by July 15.
