The BAU Institute offers residencies from July 23 to August 20 to poets, fiction writers, and nonfiction writers at the Camargo Foundation in Cassis, France, located on the Mediterranean Sea approximately 30 minutes from Marseille. Writers who are not enrolled in a degree-granting program and who have been writing for at least ten years are eligible. Residents are provided with a private apartment and have access to the Camargo campus, including a reference library, gardens, and a Greek theater. Limited travel grants are available. Submit three to six poems of any length, or up to two stories or essays or an excerpt of a fiction or nonfiction manuscript totaling no more than 15 pages; a curriculum vitae; a letter of intent; and contact information for two professional references with a $43 application fee by February 4.
