REC.ON Ecovillage Artist & Writing Residency

The REC.ON Ecovillage Artist & Writing Residency offers two- and four-week residencies year-round to poets, fiction writers, creative nonfiction writers, and translators in the picturesque village of La Mata de Bolaimí near the Sierra María–Los Vélez mountains in Andalucía, Spain. Residents are provided with a private room in a restored rural house and have shared access to a kitchen, a living room, a permaculture garden, and outdoor writing spaces. Residents may also work in the REC.ON gallery, a coworking space. The cost is €500 (approximately $570) for two weeks and €700 (approximately $798) for four weeks in a single room with a shared bathroom; €630 (approximately $719) for two weeks and €980 (approximately $1,118) for four weeks in a single room with an en suite bathroom; €950 (approximately $1,083) for two weeks and €1,300 (approximately $1,483) for four weeks in a double room with a shared bathroom; and €1,250 (approximately $1,426) for two weeks and €1,850 (approximately $2,110) for four weeks in a double room with an en suite bathroom.
