The Playa Flamingo Writing Residency, sponsored by Atmosphere Press, offers a five-day residency from May to August to a poet, fiction writer, nonfiction writer, or translator at the Punta Plata condominium in Playa Flamingo, a white sand beach located in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. The residency features one or two online editorial coaching sessions with an Atmosphere Press editor. Residents are provided with a two-bedroom condo that includes two bathrooms, a full kitchen, a patio, private beach access, and a shared outdoor pool. Residents are responsible for travel costs and meals. To apply, writers submitted a work sample of 5 to 10 pages, a résumé, and a cover letter by February 28. There is no application fee.
