The Ou Gallery’s Ou-telier program offers one- to four-week residencies starting on the 1st and 16th of every month year-round to up to 12 emerging and established poets, fiction writers, creative nonfiction writers, and translators on Gabriola Island in British Columbia, Canada. Each residency includes a private cabin and studio for writers, which can be shared with an artist collaborator or family member if needed, and costs $1,000 Canadian (approximately $733) to $2,800 Canadian (approximately $2,053), depending on the length of the stay. Residents are responsible for their travel and all meals. Submit an online application form and up to 10 pages of poetry, prose, or translation. Writing samples written in English, Spanish, and French are eligible. There is no application fee. Admissions are made on a rolling basis. Visit the website for more information.
