List og Land Northern Lights Residency

The List og Land Northern Lights Residency offers three-week residencies from October 1 to October 24 and from November 1 to November 24 at Laugaból Farm on Arnarfjörður, a fjord in Iceland, to poets, fiction writers, creative nonfiction writers, and translators. Residents who lodge at the farmhouse are provided with a double-occupancy room, two shared bathrooms, a full kitchen, a dining room, and a living room. Residents who lodge at the converted stable are provided with a single-occupancy or double-occupancy room with a writing studio and shared mini kitchen as well as access to a main kitchen, dining room, living room, and two bathrooms. The stable also offers a shared artists’ studio. Residents have access to an on-site hot tub, sauna, and swimming pool. The cost of the residency ranges from €1,350 to €1,850 (approximately $1,540 to $2,110) depending on the choice of room. Residents are responsible for transportation to and from the airport in Isafjörður. To apply, submit a curriculum vitae and a brief project statement. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
