The List og Land Northern Lights Residency offered three-week residencies from October 1 to October 24 and from November 1 to November 24 at Laugaból Farm on Arnarfjörður, a fjord in Iceland, to poets, fiction writers, creative nonfiction writers, and translators. Residents who lodged at the farmhouse were provided with a double-occupancy room, two shared bathrooms, a full kitchen, a dining room, and a living room. Residents who lodged at the converted stable were provided with a single-occupancy room or a double-occupancy room with a writing studio and shared mini kitchen as well as access to a main kitchen, dining room, living room, and two bathrooms. The stable also offered a shared artists’ studio. Residents had access to an on-site hot tub, sauna, and swimming pool. The cost of the residency ranged from $1,750 to $2,250 depending on the choice of room. Residents were responsible for transportation to and from the airport in Isafjörður. To apply, writers submitted a curriculum vitae and a brief project statement by September 15 (for the residency in October) or by October 15 (for the residency in November). There is no application fee. Visit the website for more information.
