Las Vegas Writers Conference

The 2025 Las Vegas Writers Conference, sponsored by the literary nonprofit Henderson Writers Group (HWG), was held from April 3 to April 5 at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Programming included presentations on craft, marketing, and publishing; workshops; pitch sessions; manuscript reviews; and a master class with the keynote speaker for fiction and nonfiction writers. The faculty included fiction writer Amanda Skenandore. Participating publishing professionals included agents Meredith Bernstein (Meredith Bernstein Literary Agency), Michael Carr (Veritas Literary Agency), Laurie Dennison (Creative Media Agency), Sam Hiyate (The Rights Factory), and La Sheera Lee (SBR Media); editors James Abbate (Kensington Publishing) and Latoya C. Smith (LCS Literary Services); and marketing specialists Tavia Kowalchuk (Mariner Books) and Bruce Wawrzyniak (Now Hear This). Fiction writer Randall Platt delivered the keynote address. The cost of the full conference was $649 ($599 for HWG members); single-day passes cost $229 ($199 for HWG members). A virtual session was also provided for $129 ($109 for HWG members). The master class costs $100 ($75 for HWG members). Lodging at the conference hotel was available for a nightly rate of $88 to $134 depending on the dates selected.
