The ninth annual Inkubator Writing Conference, sponsored by Literary Cleveland and kicking off Cleveland Book Week 2023, was held on September 22 and September 23 at the Cleveland Public Library in downtown Cleveland. The conference featured workshops, craft talks, panel discussions, and readings for poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers to help empower writers, celebrate literary excellence, and amplify diverse voices. Participating writers included poet Manuel Iris, fiction writers Peter Ho Davies and Rakesh Satyal, and nonfiction writer Elissa Washuta. Poet and fiction writer Elizabeth Acevedo gave the keynote address. The conference was free to attend. Registration was accepted through the conference dates. Visit the website for more information.

Accessibility accommodations included public transportation within 600 feet of the venue; elevators in all multilevel event spaces; accessible sidewalks, pathways, and doorways; accessible restrooms; reserved seating for all in-person workshops; accessible parking; ASL interpretation for the conference keynote address; and signage in Braille.
