The 28th annual Get Lit! Festival will be held online and in person from April 17 to April 19 at various venues in and around Spokane, Washington. The festival features readings, craft classes, panel discussions, and a bookfair for poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers. Participating writers include poets Melissa Kwasny, Mita Mahato, Prageeta Sharma, and Maya Jewell Zeller; fiction writers Lindsey Drager, Leyna Krow, M.L. Smoker, and Zoe B. Wallbrook; and nonfiction writers Ren Cedar Fuller, John Messick, Erica Watson, and Lauren W. Westerfield. Poet Keetje Kuipers and fiction writers Tessa Hulls and Willy Vlautin will each give readings and be part of onstage conversations as the headliners. Several events are free; other events, including craft classes and headlining events, range from $5 to $35 and require advance registration. Lodging is available at local hotels. Tickets will be available by March 1 and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Visit the website for more information.
