The 2021 Elk River Writers Workshop was held from August 15 to August 20 at Chico Hot Springs, a historic retreat in Pray, Montana, near Yellowstone National Park. The faculty included poets William Pitt Root and Pamela Uschuk, poet and fiction writer Linda Hogan, poet and nonfiction writer J. Drew Lanham, and fiction and nonfiction writer Rick Bass. Participating publishing professionals included Charles Finn (High Desert Journal), Corinne Gaffner Garcia (Big Sky Journal), Christine Holbert (Lost Horse Press), and Scott McMillion (Montana Quarterly). Tuition is $1,500. Lodging was available at Chico Hot Springs and other area hotels.
