The Civitella Ranieri Foundation “Forms of Wonder” workshop was held from November 16 to November 25 at the 15th-century Civitella Ranieri Castle in Umbria, Italy. The workshop featured writing sessions, craft lectures, and excursions to museums, local towns, religious sites, and natural settings for poets. The faculty included poets David Baker, D. A. Powell, and Paisley Rekdal. Residents were provided with a private apartment that included a bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom, and studio. The full cost of the workshop, which covered lodging, excursion fees, and daily lunch and dinner, was $4,500. There was a reduced fee for residents staying in double-occupancy rooms. Travel costs were not included. To apply, writers submitted 10 pages of poetry and a cover letter by June 1. There was no application fee. Visit the website for an application form and more information.
