The eighth annual Broadleaf Writers Conference will be held from September 23 to September 24 at the Decatur Library in Decatur, Georgia. The conference features panels and workshops for poets, fiction writers, and nonfiction writers, as well as individual pitch and mentoring sessions with agents and publishing professionals. The faculty includes fiction writers Clay McLeod Chapman, Lynn Cullen, Andy Davidson, Jeffrey Dale Lofton, and Vanessa Riley. Participating publishing professionals include agents Erin Clyburn (Howland Literary), Michelle Z. Jackson (LCS Literary Services), and Lauren Spieller (Folio Literary Management). The cost of the conference is $225 ($200 for Broadleaf Writers members), which includes a consultation with an agent or publishing professional. Additional consultations are available for $25. Single-day passes are also available for $150. The cost to attend the conference virtually is $150. Registration is rolling through September 23. Lodging is available at several nearby hotels.
