Ashland Creek Press is a small, independent publisher of books for a better planet. Our mission is to publish a range of books that foster an appreciation for worlds outside our own, for nature and the animal kingdom, and for the ways in which we all connect. We award a prize for environmental literature, The Siskiyou Prize (www.siskiyouprize.com), and publish anthologies in both fiction and nonfiction (Among Animals and Writing for Animals).

Please read our submission guidelines and study our current titles to get a feel for what we publish. In all genres, we focus on the environment and animal protection. Please note that we do not currently publish poetry or books for children.

Founded in 2001, Collision Literary Magazine is a student-run publication that accepts poetry, creative non-fiction prose, literary criticism, art, and photography by undergraduate students. Their goal is to represent a variety of young voices emerging from the contemporary body, as well as to extend the dialogue by providing constructive feedback to those writers they are unable to publish at the time. Additionally, the top three submissions in poetry and non-fiction prose are awarded cash prizes.

Please send all written pieces in one .doc file with the titles bolded. Do not include your name in this document. Along with your attached material, please include your name, contact information, school name, and a brief third-person biography in the body of the e-mail. Send no more than 5 poems or 3000 words of prose/literary criticism. See our website for more information.
