On the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM, groups of established authors who are also parents gather in the elegant Andaz Wall Street for celebration of creative work: expect readings, signings, and discussion of the balance of a literary life with an active family. All are welcome 21+. Wine is compliments of Andaz Wall Street.
The Twig Book Shop began its evolution in 1972. Currently located at the former Pearl Brewery on the Museum Reach of the Riverwalk, The Twig provides newly released books for children and adults as well as award-winning classics. The space at Pearl has become a venue for local and national poets and authors. The Twig makes books available for book clubs, schools, and conferences. The Texana collection makes the Twig a destination for history lovers near and far.
Opened in 2007, Flintridge Bookstore is a full-service bookstore, with an attached coffeehouse and large selection of gifts. We host regularly scheduled poetry readings and other literary events. We work very closely with our community to feature local authors and to provide core curriculum for the La Canada school district.
Flyleaf Books stocks new and used adult and children's titles. We welcome special orders and host an array of author events each week. We offer trade credit for used books. Stop in to browse (and feel free to bring your coffee from next door)!
Madison Public Library's tradition of promoting education, literacy, and community involvement has enriched the City of Madison for more than 135 years. Our nine locations throughout the City of Madison are open six days a week (with limited Sunday hours) and welcome over 2.35 million visits each year. We host literary events including talks and author readings.
The Center for Literary Arts provides lectures, conversations, seminars, and readings—including its long-standing Major Authors Series, which features award-winning authors—that allow the San José community to interact with writers of contemporary literature who have demonstrated exceptional voice and vision. Located in Tucson, Arizona, Casa Libre en la Solana ("free house in the sun") is a community venue that provides classes, readings, and other professional development opportunities for novice and professional writers.
