The Pinch is a nationally recognized literary journal published by the University of Memphis. Its name is derived from the historic Pinch District in Memphis. By referencing one of Memphis’ first communities, it aims to reflect the heart of Memphis’ history and the soul of its creative approach.
We publish fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and visual art, and receive submissions from both established and emerging writers from all over the world.
