An in-print and online literary journal, SFLR features work by local, national, and international writers and artists. Each issue of SFLR has a suggested theme; the 2025-2026 SFLR theme is "Resistance: Grit, Rebellion, and Dissent." SFLR is committed to promoting a diverse range of writers and artists from New Mexico and beyond.

The Santa Fe Literary Review invites free electronic submissions (Submittable) of dramatic writing/screenplay excerpts, creative nonfiction, fiction, and poetry. This year’s theme is “Resistance: Grit, Rebellion, and Dissent.” Via Submittable, please submit typed, double-spaced submissions of 2,000 words or less, an optional cover letter, and/or a bio. Visit our website to learn more, read back issues, and submit your work!
