Tips From the Editor:

The best way to get a sense of what we publish is to read a couple of our chapbooks. New Michigan Press acquires chapbook manuscripts primarily through our yearly chapbook contest, with a deadline in the Spring. Typically we’ll pick up several of the finalist manuscripts in addition to the winning chapbook. If we’re in contest season (January-June), we don’t consider queries.

From July to December each year, please feel free to query us electronically at nmp@thediagram.com [4]. Please include a list of acknowledgments, a few sample pieces, and a description of the project.
