Concision Poetry Journal [1]
Concision Poetry Journal publishes experimental poetry and visual art. While formatting is considered, it takes a back seat to experimenting with language and line. Narrative poetry is generally not accepted. The selection process tends more toward curration, which is to say poems that are accepted will generally move forward from a conversation the previous issue has started.
Read at least the most recent issue before submitting. While there is no specific theme for each issue, the poems accepted for future issues tend to speak to a few of the other poems submitted in the same period. Often, the ideas are relating to and growing out of the previous issue.
Poems published demonstrate how sharp and flexible language can be. The focus is on experiments in line (and sometimes form). Narrative poetry should not be submitted here unless there is a significant experiment in the language that guides it. Includes reflections on experiments and poetry book recommendations from the authors published in each issue.
