jubilat

From the first issue onward, jubilat has aimed to publish not only the best in contemporary American poetry, but to place it alongside a varied selection of reprints, found pieces, lyric prose, art, and interviews with poets and other artists. Rather than section off these varieties of work, the magazine creates a dialogue that showcases the beauty and strangeness of the ordinary, and how experiments with language and image speak in a compelling way about who we are.

JuxtaProse Literary Magazine

JuxtaProse is an Idaho-based literary magazine that publishes fiction, nonfiction and poetry from around the world. Our contributors have included National Book Award finalist, Pulitzer Prize nominees, National Book Critics Circle nominees and the former poet laureates from locales as varied as Scotland and Israel. Alongside these established voices, we make a concentrated effort to publish the work of emerging authors -- including previously unpublished authors and students. Each of our quarterly issues reaches a readership of approximately 5,000.

Kaaterskill Basin Literary Journal

We publish short and flash fiction, poetry, and artwork that are strange and beautiful, and often imbued with the rustic and mythical ambience of the Catskills. We like literary sci-fi and fantasy, or literary stories with a magical edge. We encourage submissions from underrepresented groups. We especially would like to feature the work of women, people of color, disabled and neurodivergent writers and artists, and queer, trans* genderqueer, nonbinary, and two spirit people. In addition, it is our goal to publish at least one piece by a previously unpublished writer in each issue.

Kalyani Magazine

Kalyani Magazine is a community focused around a semi-annual literary publication featuring diverse writing styles from women of color. Each issue explores one theme, word, or concept that impacts women in diverse ways. We specifically welcome submissions from previously unpublished authors. Our goal is to be an accessible literary magazine which encourages all women of color to view themselves as writers, readers, and supports each other on this path.
