Lesley Wheeler is the author of Heathen (C&R) and Scholarship Girl (Finishing Line); she co-edited Letters to the World: Poems from the Wom-Po Listserv (Red Hen). Her scholarly books include Voicing American Poetry: Sound and Performance from the 1920s to the Present (Cornell). She earned a PhD in English from Princeton University in 1994 and is now Professor of English at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
