JoAnn Balingit

Author's Bio

JoAnn Balingit was born in Columbus, Ohio and grew up in Lakeland, Florida. She was appointed Delaware's 16th poet laureate by former Governor Ruth Ann Minner in May 2008. A resident of Delaware since 1990, JoAnn has travelled widely, living California, Kentucky, Morocco and Portugal. She holds masters degrees from U.C.,Irvine and Indiana University, and an EdD from the University of Delaware.
