Author's Bio

I grew up in Connecticut. I now live in Tucson, Arizona and Grand Manan, New Brunswick, Canada. Formerly Director of the University of Arizona Poetry Center, I'm now Professor and Director of Creative Writing at UA. I'm affiliated with the Institute of the Environment here and also Chair of the Board of Directors for Orion magazine. A new nonfiction book is forthcoming from Milkweed Editions.
