Time of Singing [1]
TOS is published by Wind & Water Press, and its purpose is to provide a market for literary Christian poetry, with “Christian” defined in the widest sense. Free verse and all forms are welcome. TOS encourages poets to take chances and write outside religious and theological boxes, wrestle with the important questions in faith, and challenge the reader to rethink their assumptions. Sermons that rhyme and greeting card style poems are not accepted. Reviews of poetry chapbooks/books are only accepted by previously published poets in the journal.
Please study the craft, and remember this is literary style poetry, not canned rhyme or sermons in poem form. Show me, don't tell me. Be open to critique. I know what’s best for my readers. If you don’t agree, submit elsewhere. It’s helpful to pick up a back copy to see what style the editor is looking for. Cover letter not needed, unless you want to list important credits. Your work will speak for itself.
