Bio: 

SHEILA MCMULLIN is an Arts for Los Angeles Arts Delegate and a community herbalist advocating at the intersection of civic participation and local artist resources. She is the author of daughterrarium selected by Daniel Borzutzky for Cleveland State University Poetry Center's First Book Prize. She is an Advisory Board Member for CIACLA Contemporary Irish Arts Center Los Angeles. As a youth organizer and story coach, she co-edited The Day Tajon Got Shot and Humans of Ballou both from Shout Mouse Press, and provides editing, content creation, and manuscript development services through her business The Write Magick. Through her love for words, herbs, and composting, she began crafting her own paper out of herbal marc, seeds, and recycled materials as an act of devotion to the natural world. She currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, where she gardens, practices community herbalism, and facilitates writing workshops. She holds an M.F.A. from George Mason University.
