Bio: 

Karen Paul Holmes won the Lascaux Review Poetry Prize in 2023. She has two poetry books: No Such Thing as Distance (Terrapin Books, 2018) and Untying the Knot (Aldrich Press, 2014). Her poems have been featured by Garrison Keillor on The Writer's Almanac and by Tracy K. Smith on The Slowdown, and her work appears in many journals and anthologies. To support poets and writers, Holmes has hosted a critique group in Atlanta since 2010. She served as Tweetspeak Poetry's "Poet Laura" for 2022. Also a freelance writer, she teaches creative writing at various venues, including the John C. Campbell Folk school in North Carolina.
