Kathryn Kulpa writes short stories, flash fiction, and prose poetry. She was a winner of the Vella Chapbook Contest for her flash fiction chapbook Girls on Film, published by Paper Nautilus Press, and she received the Mid-List Press First Series Award for her short story collection Pleasant Drugs (Mid-List Press). She is also the author of Who’s the Skirt?, a micro-chapbook published by the Origami Poems Project, and has been featured in several anthologies. Kathryn has published short fiction in Florida Review, Hayden’s Ferry Review, Literary Orphans, Monkeybicycle, NANO Fiction, Smokelong Quarterly, Superstition Review, and many other journals. She is a flash fiction editor at Cleaver magazine and formerly served as an editor of Newport Review, Pif and Merlyn’s Pen, a journal of writing by teens. She has taught writing at the University of Rhode Island, Stonecoast Writers Conference, Goat Hill Writers, and Writers-in-the-Schools, Rhode Island.
